Section 504 Notice of Program Accessibility

Effective Date: 3/1/2024

The regulation implementing Section 504 mandates that an agency/facility adopt and implement procedures to ensure that interested persons, including those with impaired vision or hearing, can obtain information about the existence and location of services, activities, and facilities accessible to and usable by disabled persons. (45 C.F.R. §84.22(f))

Accessibility Statement:

Safe Step Therapy and Wellness and all its programs and activities are accessible to and usable by disabled persons, including those who are deaf, hard of hearing, blind, or have other sensory impairments. The following access features are available:

Assistive and Communication Aids: Provided at no additional charge, including:

Qualified sign language interpreters for the deaf or hard of hearing.

Twenty-four-hour telecommunication device (TTY/TDD) connecting callers to all extensions within the facility and/or portable units for use by the deaf, hard of hearing, or speech impaired.

Readers and taped materials for the blind, large print materials for the visually impaired.

Flash cards, alphabet boards, and other communication aids.

Assistive devices for persons with impaired manual skills.
